There are two main areas: the boat dock area and the spring area down to the White River, this beautification project involves landscaping with shrubs flowers and other plants and a new bed next to the dam house.

A previously bare corner at the intersection of Highway 62 West and Ninth Street now has a background of cannas plants visible from the highway, with small bushes and other flowers arranged in the planting bed.

In 2008 the Baxter County Master Gardeners designed and
planted a garden at the Visitor's Center.

The Master Gardeners decided to create a garden that would highlight plants native to the Ozarks including those that would attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
