Tent Caterpillar Destruction Photos

You will see how fast tent caterpillars can devour your plants. I had been out the evening before, working near this rose bush. I never noticed the "tent."   The next morning Duane discovered the rose bush stripped of leaves two thirds the way up. Then he saw the tent on a the rosebush as well as another bush nearby with the caterpillars starting to come out.  The photos show the before and after as well as the mass of them on a stump.  Duane has been spraying tents in trees around the yard but we were shocked to find them right in front of our eyes.  We are looking more thoroughly now! They were sprayed immediately but we continue to find them crawling all around.
